Disputere Solution & Compliance-vcat
- VCAT is a step below the Magistrates Court andis an ideal forum for small claims matters such as tenancy issues including damage to the property. rent claims, abandonment of the property, etc
- Residential Rental Providers (RRP) are encouraged to attend the hearing to represent themselves, along with our Property Managers The VCAT member is trained in all areas relating to tenancy issues, and it is their role to act independently to form a view as to the outcome, based solely on the information that is presented on the day
- Resolve disputes between tenancies
- Resolve Owner’s Corporation disputes and notice of breach
- Liaise with Owner’s Corporation with common area issues
- Prepare file for VCAT if needed (optional)
- Prepare file for VCAT if needed (optional)
- Attend VCAT hearing on RRP’s behalf (optional)
- VCAT Application and payment (optional)
- Archive documentation on behalf of Residential Rental Provider (RRP), Renter files, bond information Application to VCAT to withhold bond money if required at lease termination
It is expected that the Residential Rental Provider (RRP) or a representative, attend the hearings to represent themselves, however in the event that they do not attend, Flat Fee Property Management will attendon behalf of the RRP however, will not be held responsible for the outcome of the hearing or costs awarded against the Residential Rental Provider
